1. Low Cost
Cold-rolled steel sheet is relatively inexpensive, offering significant cost advantages as a base material for color-coated steel sheets, 10%-20% cheaper than hot-dip galvanized steel sheets.
It is suitable for temporary or simple structures with limited budgets, such as temporary warehouses, rural sheds, and awnings.
2. Easy Processing and Forming
Cold-rolled steel sheet boasts high flatness and moderate hardness, making it easy to roll into complex corrugated shapes, making it suitable for roofs or decorative structures requiring high-definition designs.
It is also suitable for non-structural roofing, such as landscape pergolas and billboards.
3. Beautiful Initial Appearance
The smooth surface and rich coating colors provide a strong decorative effect, meeting basic aesthetic requirements without the need for additional surface treatment.
It is suitable for temporary or semi-permanent structures with specific aesthetic requirements.
Note: Limitations
Poor corrosion resistance: Without the protection of a galvanized coating, the surface coating (usually PE polyester paint) is completely reliant, with a lifespan of only 5-8 years. It is prone to rust in humid environments.
Frequent Maintenance: Regular repainting is required, and long-term costs may increase. Limited application scenarios: only recommended for short-term use in dry inland areas. Hot-dip galvanized/aluminum-zinc coated substrates are recommended for humid or highly corrosive environments.
