Difference of galvanzied steel pipe& seamless pipe

1, different manufacturing processes

Galvanized steel pipes and seamless steel pipes are two categories of steel pipes. Zinc plating refers to the surface of steel pipes being galvanized. It may be welded pipes or seamless pipes. Seamless refers to the manufacturing process of steel pipes, with welding and Seamless points.

2, physical properties are different

Galvanized pipes are resistant to corrosion and seamless pipes can withstand higher pressures. Galvanized steel pipes are not easy to rust due to zinc protection. Galvanized steel pipes are lighter than seamless steel pipes. If it is used for balconies, it is best to use galvanized light pipes. Seamless steel pipes are not suitable for balcony.

Because the seamless steel pipe wall thickness, the natural weight is heavy, and the cost of the seamless steel pipe is higher than the cost of the galvanized steel pipe, and the galvanized steel pipe is very durable, and the service life is far more than the seamless steel pipe.

3, different uses

Galvanized steel pipes are welded with hot-dip or galvanized steel. Zinc plating can increase the corrosion resistance of steel pipes and prolong their service life.

Galvanized pipes are widely used, in addition to pipelines for general low-pressure fluids such as water, gas, oil, etc., and also used as oil well pipes and oil pipes in the petroleum industry, especially in offshore oil fields, and oil heaters and condensation of chemical coking equipment. Cooler, coal distillate oil exchanger pipe, and trestle pipe pile, support pipe for mine tunnel, etc.

The galvanized pipe is often used to transport gas and heating. The galvanized pipe is used as a water pipe. After a few years of use, a large amount of rust is generated inside the pipe. The yellow water that flows out not only pollutes the sanitary ware, but also contains bacteria that grow on the unsmooth inner wall; the rust causes the heavy metal content in the water to be too high, which seriously endangers the health of the human body. In the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries in the world began to develop new types of pipes and banned galvanized pipes.
